The project was the company’s first job as a project manager. The client was purchasing a residential property located in Mayfair for commercial use. The main work was to convert and renovate the property into office units. The property was in a poor internal condition and in need of heavy refurbishment.
The process of conversion was very intensive as the project needed to be completed within a crucial timescale. Project management meant greater efficiency of the site. By buying materials efficiently, avoiding costly delays and minimising rework, the build was completed within a timescale of 14 months, on budget and with the minimum of fuss. Renovation works required refurbishment of the property to fit the needs of the new office space, including the installation of the new air conditioning system.
